Feature Launch Documentation

 I worked closely with the Google Hotel Ads team to create documentation that helps partners to use (and maximize) any new product, feature, or account.

Though I worked with 10+ different product verticals and sub-verticals, I spent a lot of time working with the Hotel Ads team. Specifically, I worked with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to collaborate and create documentation about the software that hotel partners use to manage their ads.

Goal: Google is constantly improving, updating, and launching new features for the products and services their partners use every day. In order to help partners understand and optimize these new updates, I create content that tells them everything they need to know. Whether it's a Help Center article, deck, or PDF, my job is to convey all the information users will need in quick, easy-to-understand format.  

Process: Prior to launch, I work very closely with the Hotel Ads engineering team and product managers to find out the nitty-gritty technical details about the new features and updates. From there, I'll "translate" this information into layman's terms, so that it's easy for anyone to understand the changes at a glance. After adding any necessary visual elements, the finalized content is launched on the Hotel Ads Help Center, or distributed to partners via the product team. IMPACT

Launch documentation not only helps partners stay up-to-date with their accounts, but also helps preemptively reduce escalations, which saves time for Googlers and partners. Plus, having easy-to-understand information about new features also helps partners make the most of the accounts. The more that partners can do quickly, easily, and on their own, the better their experience with Google products and services.
